Development resources, people and ecosystem**  China\u2019s advantages include scale, state direction and a growing industrial ecosystem. It already deploys AI heavily in logistics, media and warehouses, and aims for 10,000 humanoid robots in real work by end-2026, with sales projected to reach 446,000 by 2030. Yet talent and institutional constraints bite hard. Youth unemployment exceeds 15 %, the gig economy absorbs more than 300 million people, and the working-age population is forecast to shrink 25 % by 2050. Retraining has a poor track record even in successful market economies. Political leaders fear that rapid diffusion will create instability, while stop-start regulation risks chilling innovation. The ecosystem therefore mixes impressive state mobilisation with brittle social and political foundations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>**3. Revenue RMB vs USD**  The article does not quantify model or chip revenues in currency terms. It notes that Chinese models are cheaper and that hardware workarounds (renting foreign capacity, improving domestic chips) are expanding. Any commercial advantage currently sits more in lower unit costs denominated in RMB than in absolute dollar-scale market leadership. American firms still lead in high-value frontier models and advanced semiconductors, so dollar-denominated revenues in the premium tiers remain heavily skewed toward the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>**Conclusion**  China\u2019s AI push demonstrates that an authoritarian system can mobilise resources and close software gaps quickly. Hardware bottlenecks, demographic pressures and the regime\u2019s own fear of social disruption nevertheless limit its options.
